The Bordeaux appellation is a regional AOC produced in all the vineyards of Bordeaux. The vineyard comprises 42 600 hectares and produced 2,236,700 hectoliters throughout the growing zone of the Gironde department. This AOP is the largest appellation of Bordeaux and best-selling worldwide wines. It meets standards quality set by the INAO (Institut National des Appellations d'Origine). This regional designation is so large that it covers a wide range of soils.
