Bacardí Carta Blanca White Rum was first created by Don Facundo Bacardí Masso in 1862 and has since been recognised as the world's most-awarded rum. The first premium white rum, which often acts as the perfect base for mixing with a variety of juices and sodas. Bacardí Carta Blanca was used in both the first Daiquiri (1898) borne of the need for a cooling drink in the heat of Cuba and the first Mojito cocktail, recorded in Pedro Chicote’s book La Ley Mojada from 1930
